Somehow, life never slows down. I am still in Pittsburgh, but spent the past two months getting settled in a new place. We also took a much needed family vacation to Colorado!
Now that I have my studio space set up, at least for the next year, I will be getting back into practicing, teaching, and editing/recording. It’s a modest space, but it works! Check it out below:
I’ll announce my fall schedule in a later email, but I’m excited about several upcoming events and collaborations!

Reflections
The past few years have had more restarts than I planned. Between injuries, new babies, and moving, practicing has felt more like frantic sprints to prep for performances than a steady marathon.
However, every time I come back to practicing after an unplanned break, I come back with more experience. I’ve refined a strategy that works for me to get back into performing shape. The process isn’t any less frustrating, but the experience does make it less overwhelming.
Just a reminder that restarting doesn’t mean that you are starting from zero. You are still bringing experience and knowledge from your past efforts and all you need is to rebuild the habit and consistency. (Technique rebuilding comes from consistency.)

YouTube Videos
I managed to get one video edited right before moving! This tutorial goes along with a blog post I wrote earlier last year about harp glissandi. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out below!
Harp Tips Email Roundup
I’m planning some more harp tips emails for the rest of the summer, so…
If you have any questions you would like to see answered (or blog posts you would like to see updated!), be sure to submit a Q&A below!
Practice Corner Emails
I have not yet sent any Practice Corner emails for harpists yet this year. With moving my email to Substack, I no longer have that email segment available and only two of you have opted into those emails! If you’re interested in those, please update your settings here. Once I have 20 subscribers in that list, I’ll start sending those practice tips again! 😊
Teaching/Consult Availability:
I’m still easing back into my regular schedule post-baby and offering score review consults by request only. If you need anything, please feel free to reach out and I’m happy to fit you in. I hope to reopen booking directly on my website later this summer!
For harp lessons, I am still teaching via Zoom and have openings for regular or one-time lessons starting this fall.
I hope you’re doing well! I always love hearing from you, so feel free to hit reply and write back—I’d love to catch up!
Until next time, keep making music!
Best,
Danielle
